“Insecure Mirrors.”

12” x 48”

Sculpture installation

This piece was created by surveyed individuals who measured their most insecure body parts in order to challenge their perception of body image. This project is inspired by Willem de Kooning’s figure drawings of women, where the black lines intersected the anatomical figures, creating a distorted vision. The distortion displayed in this project exposes unalienable truth that false realities appear real but are merely the illusion of expectation.
